Patrick, Knight, lion star strong
Carries the honor of Kara the twin
Hearts of gold, cats of song
Inspired him to work for the win

Hothgar took the field in first light
To glorify Elzaeth with his arm
But Patrick won out with his might
And boasted of Kara’s loving charm

Winged lion met Patrick next in the list
As James of Nayland took the field
And the moonlight of Albra shines through the mist
So Patrick to James found he had to yield

Once more Patrick takes up his sword
To glorify Kara’s sweet waiting face
And meets Ashruf’s horns and gore
But Eilidh’s oaks win out in that place

Patrick, Knight, lion star strong
Carried the honor of Kara the twin
Hearts of gold, the bards in song
Declare that in chivalry, he carries a win

Notes: The Circle of Bards of Caid publish poems in honor of each fighter in Crown Lists and distribute the poems at Coronation. This is one of the first assignment poems I've completed.
